Our client, Dr. Craig Callen, owned a veterinary clinic in Chico, California. Before starting his own practice, Dr. Callen was an associate at a couple of other clinics. Like many veterinarians, over time he experienced burnout, which led to a life-changing decision—it was time to buy his own business.

“I bought a clinic and it’s probably the best thing that ever happened to me. Basically, owning your own vet clinic allows you to do your own thing,” said Dr. Callen. “You don’t have to worry about somebody breathing down your neck, and I found it to be more enjoyable than working for somebody else.”

Fast forward: after running his own vet practice for 25 years, Dr. Callen decided that it was time to peacefully retire. All he needed was a dedicated buyer.
